Kobe Bryant became the first Athlete to get a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Due to the weather the event was held indoors (I thought It Never Rains in Southern California) The NBA all-star had his hand and footprints permanently enshrined at Hollywood's historic Grauman's Chinese Theater -- home to the world famous Walk of Fame.
Some of Hollywood's biggest stars in history have had this honor bestowed on them. Talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and George Lopez were both on hand for Saturday's ceremony, as were his wife and two daughters.
Bryant said Friday the possibility was never really something he thought much about. "It’s not something I’ve ever dreamed about or thought about," Bryant said. "It's a great honor. To be next to some of the people I’m going to be next to is pretty cool."
