Cartoon Network’s First Awards Show, the Hall of Game Awards




Cartoon Network’s first awards show, the Hall of Game Awards honors the best in sports as chosen by young fans. Skateboard legend Tony Hawk hosts the awards show, which also includes appearances from pro athletes Drew Brees, Shannon Brown, Kobe Bryant, Roger Federer, Arian Foster, Rick Fox, Zachary Gordon, A.J. Hawk, Dwight Howard, Terrell Owens, Venus Williams and Tiger Woods. NBA great Magic Johnson receives the first-ever “Gameblazer Award” lifetime achievement award.

Also, First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on the telecast to promote nutrition and physical activity. As national spokesperson and co-founder of the Let's Move! initiative, Mrs. Obama will make her taped appearance to recognize the nation's schools that have most successfully created healthier environments through nutrition and physical activity. The goal of the initiative is to reduce childhood obesity.
