Justin Bieber's Hair goes for $40,000+

Justin Bieber has raised a staggering $40,668 after a lock of his hair was sold at auction.

The pop superstar handed his hair to TV personality Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show last month (Feb11) - days after famously changing his look - and told her to sell it for a charity of her choice.

He stated, "I'm giving pieces of it (hair) to different people. We're doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want."

DeGeneres decided to sell it to raise funds for California animal rescue centre The Gentle Barn, and placed the hair on eBay.com, where it quickly became a hot item.

Bidding reached $12,000 on Tuesday (01Mar11) but shot up overnight. It is not known who placed the winning bid.

Justin Bieber finished off his multi-episode run on "CSI" with a bang, getting shot and killed by furious police fire. Bieber/Brown Remix on "Up"

Justin Bieber can add Chris Brown to the list of artist’s he’s collaborated with, as a remix of his song “Up” has been released with the rapper and the Biebs joining forces.

“Up,” a slow jam, was on Justin’s release of My World 2.0 and this new version is featured on the Biebs’ remix EP Never Say Never: The Remixes.
